Indications for treatment of Sprycel drug
Sprycel is a drug used to treat cancer in adults with leukemia, a type of leukemia:
- Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML): diagnosed with chronic Philadelphia chromosome (Ph +) chronic bone marrow chromosome (C +) in the chronic phase (CP)
- Ph + CML no longer benefits or intolerates other treatments, including imatinib.
- Acute Ph + (Ph + ALL) lymphoblastic leukemia no longer benefit or tolerate other treatments.
Treatment in children
- Children 1 year of age and older with Ph + CML in the chronic phase or not responding to other treatments.

The mechanism of action of Dasatinib
- Active ingredient Dasatinib belongs to a class of drugs that block enzymes called protein kinases.

Dosage and usage of Sprycel
Dosage recommended
- Adult patients with chronic stage CML are: 100mg once daily.

The dose for children with chronic CML or Ph + ALL stages is based on body weight.
- From 10 to less than 20 kg is: 40mg once daily.
- From 20 to less than 30 kg: 60mg once a day.
- From 30 to less than 45 kg: 70mg once a day.
- At least 45 kg is: 100mg once a day.
This drug should not be used for children under 10 kg.
Depending on how you respond to treatment, your doctor may adjust your dose higher or lower or even stop treatment for a short time.
Using

- Take Sprycel before or after a meal, at the same time each day.
