The mechanism of action of Posaconazole
The active ingredient in Noxafil is posaconazole, an antifungal medication of the triazole group. It works by blocking the formation of ergosterol, an important part of the fungal cell wall. Without ergosterol, mushrooms die or are prevented from spreading.
