Ledviclear drug is an antiviral medicine that stops hepatitis C virus (HCV) cells from multiplying in your body, a combination medicine used to treat hepatitis C in adults. The drug may also be used for purposes not listed in the medication guide.

What is Ledviclear’s Important Safety Information?
- You should not use Ledviclear if you are allergic to Ledipasvir or Sofosbuvir.
- To be on the safe side, tell your doctor if you have a history of hepatitis B, liver problems other than hepatitis, a history of liver transplant, kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis), HIV or AIDS.
How does Ledviclear work?
This medication works by blocking the replication of nonstructural protein 5A (NS5A) which is a viral phosphoprotein. Thus, Ledipasvir binds itself to NS5A to suppress the secretion, replication and production of viral RNA infection.
What does Ledviclear do?
For adults:
The drug is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection:
- Genotype 1, 4, 5 or 6 infection without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis.
- Genotype 1 infection with decompensated cirrhosis, used in combination with ribavirin.
- Genotype 1 or 4 infection is a liver transplant recipient without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis, used in combination with ribavirin
For children:
Ledviclear tablets are indicated for the treatment of children 12 years of age and older or weighing at least 35 kg with HCV genotype 1, 4, 5 or 6 infection without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis.
Dosage and how to use Ledviclear?
Ledviclear Dosage
- Ledviclear (Ledipasvir-sofosbuvir (90 mg/400 mg)) is a fixed-dose combination tablet.
- The recommended dose is 1 tablet once a day.
How to take medicine
- Take this medication with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily.
- This medicine works best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept constant. So take this medicine at evenly spaced intervals. To help you remember, take your medicine at the same time each day.
- Tell your doctor if you vomit within 5 hours of taking this medicine. You may need to take another dose.
- Continue taking Ledviclear for the full length of time prescribed, even if symptoms disappear after a short time. Stopping the medication too soon can cause the infection to return.
- Antacids reduce the absorption of Ledipasvir. If you are taking an antacid, take it at least 4 hours before or 4 hours after taking this medicine.
- Other acid-reducing medicines for indigestion, heartburn, or ulcers (such as prescription or over-the-counter medicines including famotidine, omeprazole) may prevent Ledipasvir from working. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how to use these medicines safely.
Ledviclear drug side effects

Special notes on Ledviclear medicine
- Bradycardia when co-administered with amiodarone: Severe symptomatic bradycardia may occur in patients receiving amiodarone and Sofosbuvir in combination with another direct-acting antiviral (DAA), particularly in patients who are also taking beta-blockers, or those with congenital heart disease or advanced liver disease.
- Co-administration of amiodarone with Sofosbuvir in combination with another DAA is not recommended. In patients without viable, alternative treatment options, cardiac monitoring is recommended.
- Pregnancy: Ribavirin can cause birth defects and fetal death, and animal studies have shown that interferon is effective in aborting and preventing pregnancy in female patients and male partners. . Patients must have a negative pregnancy test before starting treatment.
How to store Ledviclear?
- Store below 30°C (86°F).
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and refrigerate when needed. Improper storage can affect the effectiveness and shelf life of the medicine.
- Consider storing medications separately from other family members. You can put them on another shelf, or in another cabinet or drawer.
