Nanjing - War Time Capital
| Nanjing is the provincial
capital of Jiangsu and has a population of 5 million. It is the center
of agriculture, electronics and automobile industries. Due to its
strategic location, Nanjing was the Capital of China in different times
and also it was the battlefield in many wars. Nanjing is a beautiful
city with plenty of trees alongside the boulevards. Yet summer there is
unbearable hot and it is well known as one of the three "furnace" in
China.
is well known by the West. Do you know how many Chinese were killed
by Japanese during the war? In one single city, Nanjing, Japanese
soldiers slaughtered 300,000 Chinese during a period of several weeks.
If you want to know the fact, visit "Memorial
of the Nanjing Massacre".
There are too many historical events that Chinese never forgot.
Chinese government was forced to sign the "Nanjing Treaty" in 1842 after
being defeated in the "Opium War" against Britain. Since then the West
and Japanese started one hundred years assault to Chinese. Even today,
the same gang but led by America, covered up with the mask of "human
right" or "democracy", still attempts to split China and never stop
interfering in the last one hundred years.
China is awakening and we will never let the shameful history to
repeat again.
